Welcome to the shop

We started Trackside Imports for one simple reason: we love the golden era of Japanese performance, and we wanted a place that treated those cars the way they deserve.

Japanese classics are our heart. An R32 that needs bringing back, an S15 that deserves doing right, a first-gen MX-5 that’s worth more than the sum of its parts. But we’re not precious about it. If it’s a proper car and it’s worth doing properly, we’re in.

We also know that not everyone reading this has a project in the garage. That’s why we run as a full workshop too: servicing, MOT prep, diagnostics and repairs on everyday cars, and a mobile service that comes to you across Cheshire. Same care, whether it’s a show car or the daily.

This journal is where we’ll share what’s rolling through the shop, the builds, the lessons, and the odd honest opinion on what’s worth doing and what isn’t. Follow along.
